Marshall 9, Waseca 0

WASECA — The Marshall baseball team had five pitchers throw a combined shutout in the first game of its Saturday Big South Conference doubleheader, and Trae Bailey’s homer led the Tigers at the plate as they downed Waseca 9-0.

After Andrew Stelter drew a leadoff walk, Bailey crushed a two-run home run over the right field wall to give the Tigers an early 2-0 lead. JR Vierstraete and Noah Pieper also reached on an error and a walk, respectively, and Tyler Kraft sent them both home with a two-run single to make the score 4-0.
