MARSHALL — The Marshall boys and girls track and field teams each earned first-place finishes at the Tigers’ home meet Monday afternoon. The Marshall boys finished with 172 points in a seven-team meet while the girls earned 159 points in an eight-team meet.

Lakeview also finished third on both sides, with 118.5 points for the girls and 102 for the boys, and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton placed sixth for boys at 41.5 and eighth for girls with 12.

Worthington was the meet runner-up on the boys side with 136.5 points and Redwood was the girls runner-up with 127.

Colton Lindquist earned a pair of first-place finishes for the Marshall boys, winning the long jump and triple jump. The Tigers also earned wins from Sam Deutz in the 3200 meters, Aidan Schuerman in the 300-meter hurdles and Brady Dubs in the pole vault, as well as the Ian Brockberg, Rajon Crockett, Sam Meier and Ehmu Soe in the 4×100-meter hurdles.

Autumn Deutz and Brooklyn Purrington earned wins for the Tigers in the girls pole vault and high jump. The Tigers also got track wins in the 800 meters from Taleigha Bigler, the 3200 meters from Katelyn Leibfried and the 300-meter hurdles from Jenna Sanders.

Marshall also won the girls 4×800-meter relay from its squad of Leibfried, Kaitlyn Soupir, Jasmine Murphy and Bigler.

Lakeview got a pair of girls wins from Adeline Louwagie in the discus and shot put. On the boys side, Lakeview’s Tate Remiger won the 1600 meters and Broden Stensrud won the wheelchair shot put and discus.

Lakeview and TMB are each at home for their next meet, with the Lakers hosting on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and the Panthers hosting on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Marshall also next competes on the road at St. Peter on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
