REDWOOD FALLS — The Lakeview boys and Canby/Minneota girls each finished up as team runners-up at the Redwood Track and Field on Tuesday.

The Lakeview boys finished with a team score of 94.5, trailing only Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial-Nicollet’s 135. Wabasso placed eighth on the boys side with 50 points followed by Canby/Minneota’s 41.

On the girls side, Canby/Minneota’s 91 was behind only LCWM-N’s 103. Lakeview placed fifth with 79 points and Wabasso placed ninth with 46.

Jackson Staab earned a pair of first-place finishes in the discus and shot put, and Broden Stensrud won the wheelchair discus and shot put. The Lakers also got a win out of Tate Remiger in the 1600 meters.

Wabasso’s Tavyn larson won the long jump and took third in the triple jump, and Andrew Morin picked up a first-place finish in the 3200 meters for the Rabbits.

The Canby/Minneota girls team’s strength came largely from their relay teams. The girls placed first in the 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400-meter relays, as well as third in the 4×800 meters. Karlie Wollum was the lone individual winner for the Lancers taking first in the high jump.

Lakeview’s girls picked up a pair of wins, coming from Brook Gunlogson in the 400 meters and Tristynn Justesen in the pole vault.

Liz Morin also placed first for Wabasso in the long jump.

Canby/Minneota and Lakeview both get back in action tonight at 4:30 p.m., with the Lancers heading to a meet in Worthington and the Lakers at Lac qui Parle Valley. Wabasso returns to the track on Tuesday at MACCRAY.
