MANKATO — The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton boys track and field team placed second at the Wolverine Indoor Meet at Minnesota State University’s Myers Field House over the weekend. The Panther boys finished with a total of 39 points, trailing only Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial/Nicollet’s 157, while the Panther girls placed fourth out of five teams with 27 points.

TMB got its top performance from its girls 4×200-meter relay team of Virginia Munson, Brooke Swenhaugen, Elizabeth Buyck and Lauren Knakmuhs. The quartet completed the event in 2:10.12 to earn a first-place finish.

Raelynn Schreier earned TMB’s top individual performance of the meet, finishing as the runner-up in the girls 55-meter hurdles at 10.40 and taking third in the 55-meter dash at 8.31. Her teammate Linaye Odom placed third in the hurdles at 10.83, and Odom also placed third in the long jump at 13-08.75.

On the boys side, the 4×200-meter relay team of Ty Yackley, Owen Maguire, Myhlez Moua and Hunter Ostgaard also finished as the event runner-up at 1:47.50.

Ostgaard was also one of three TMB boys with an individual third-place finish, crossing the line in the 55-meter dash at 7.02. He was joined by Braden Morgan’s 26.05 in the 200 meters and Tyler Arnold’s 2:33.39 in the 800 meters.

TMB’s boys 4×800-meter relay team of Owen Beier, Sam Lightfoot, Noah Schmidt and Karson Schneider placed third at 10:19.43, and the girls 4×400-meter relay team of Schreier, Knakmuhs, Avery Anderson and Odom placed third at 5:00.36.
