Stensrud, Kockelman named Camden South Co-MVPs

The Camden Conference announced its 2025-26 season awards on Monday, with several area athletes being tabbed on the All-Conference Team or earning an honorable mention.
Lakeview senior Brynn Stensrud and Canby senior Brynn Kockelman were both named Co-MVP’s along with All-Conference team honors, with MACCRAY’s Brielle Janssen earning the outright MVP award.
Along with Lakeview recognitions, seniors Brook Gunlogson and Anah Schmidt were also named to the All-Conference team, senior Aubrey Nething was an honorable mention, and head coach Mike Imes was named the Camden Conference Co-Coach of the Year.
Lakeview clinched the Camden South Conference Division title this season, and finished 21-8 overall, its first 20-win season in six years.
Junior Ava Danielson also joined Kockelman on the All-Conference team representing Canby, who finished the year out 12-14 overall.

The Minneota Vikings were also well-represented in conference awards, and finished the season 19-9.
Sophomore Autum Anderson and junior Jaylyn Coequyt were named to the All-Conference team, and the team’s lone senior in Sarah Gruenes earned an honorable mention.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton earned a pair of nods, with sophomore Gretchen Lanoue and junior Melaina Ankrum both earning a spot on the All-Conference team.
Bailey Mortenson, Bayli Sneller and Alana Almich all earned honors for Yellow Medicine Each, each of whom surpassed 1,000 career points this season. Both Mortenson and Sneller made the All-Conference team, and Almich earned an honorable mention.
Dawson-Boyd’s single senior in Alyssa Swedzinski also took home an honorable mention, and sophomore Claire Stratmoen earned first-team recognition.
