MARSHALL — The Big South Conference announced its girls hockey All-Conference Team list this week, with Marshall leading the way with six honors. Three Tigers were named to the All-Conference team, while three more earned honorable mention recognition.
Peyton DeMuth, Abbey Foley and Brooklyn Mauch were all named to the Big South All-Conference team, and Avery Kesteloot, Ava Kolander and Lily Stelter were awarded honorable mentions.
This is Mauch’s fourth-straight season earning a Big South Conference nod, getting her first after the 2022-23 season as an eighth grader. This is also Foley’s third season in a row being named in the All-Conference list, since the 2023-24 season after her sophomore-year campaign.
DeMuth was also named to the All-Conference team last season, making this her second-straight honor.
Marshall wrapped up another successful season, finishing 22-5 overall while spending the entire year state-ranked in Class A.
The Tigers also won the Big South Conference title this season for the third consecutive year after defeating Luverne 6-1. They shared the championship with the Cardinals and Minnesota River last season, but won it outright this year and in 2024.
Mauch finished her junior season with 71 goals, which leads the entire state by 24. She finished with 104 total points.
Foley also led the state in assists this season with 47, seven more than the next player up.
DeMuth was the Tigers’ second-best scorer this season with 25 goals along with 25 assists, while Kesteloot and Kolander were two of the core defenders for Marshall that played stellar protection.
Stelter finished her year in the net with a .926 save percentage with an impressive 403 total saves, allowing just 32 goals. She wrapped up the year with a 19-4 record.
Marshall will again return most of its talented roster come next season, and graduate Foley and Kesteloot this year.
