MARSHALL –Aidan Erickson, a senior offensive lineman for the Marshall football team, announced on Wednesday that he’ll be continuing his athletic career at Concordia College in Moorhead.
“[Concordia] just felt like home,” Erickson said. “It felt more welcoming than the other schools I went to, just felt like I fit in more with the players and coaches.”
Erickson was a key part of Marshall’s dominance in the trenches over the last few years, helping set the tone for the Tigers’ dominant run game as the Tigers went to consecutive state semifinals.
“It feels like I accomplished everything I was working for,” Erickson said of his high school career. “I wasn’t really thinking of playing [college] football, and then we kind of got to the season and I started getting interest, so I kind of rode that.”
Erickson said that the way his coaches and teammates pushed him in the weight room helped him become the best version of himself as an athlete, and that the training the team put in will hopefully carry over to the next level.
Erickson intends on studying business management in college.
