MARSHALL — Strong effort on the offensive glass wasn’t enough for the Marshall boys basketball team to take down No. 8 Mankato East on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers trailed the Cougars by a single point at halftime, 32-31, but Mankato East pulled away down the stretch to defeat Marshall 71-61.

Lee was Marshall’s second-leading scorer with 10 points on 4 of 7 shooting.
