BELGRADE — The Marshall wrestling team put together a runner-up team finish at the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Invitational on Friday, led by individual championships from Brayden Chandler, Dawson DeCamp and Tyler Kraft.

Marshall finished with a team score of 212.5 in the 11-team invitational, trailing only Watertown Mayer-Mayer Lutheran’s 254. Red Rock Central also competed in the tournament, placing 11th with 47.5 points.

In total, Marshall had 13 of its 14 wrestlers earn a medal. Chandler, DeCamp and Kraft won the 172, 145 and 189 weight classes, respectively. Reigning state champion Lincoln Christenson was also a runner-up in 121, as were Levi Kraft in 133 and Tyson Louwagie in 152.

For Red Rock Central, Braxton Weber and Jonah Skarupa each earned third-place finishes in 107 and 189.

Marshall next competes on Thursday when it hosts Jackson County Central for a dual at 6 p.m., while Red Rock Central returns to action on Tuesday at Redwood Valley at 5 p.m.
