Just as they did on Thursday night over Willmar, the Tigers made their offensive pressure known from the jump as they outshot Fergus Falls 34-16 on the night, and 14-8 after the first period.
Marshall scored two goals in the opening period, and put the game away behind five second-period goals, prior to a scoreless third on both ends.
Deutz and Mauch scored the Tigers’ first two goals of the game in the first period, both on power plays, with assists from Brianna Foley and Pearson, respectively.
The Tigers caught fire in the second period with two more goals from Mauch, along with one from Pearson, Deutz and Peyton DeMuth.
Mauch got the rally started off an assist from Abbey Foley and Peyton DeMuth, as Deutz netted in the last goal of the period with an assist from Brielle Felton Krog and Eme DeMuth, to give Marshall its 7-0 lead, ultimately becoming the final score.
Lily Stelter was back in the net for Marshall, finishing another perfect performance with her 16 saves.
The Tigers improve to 2-0 in the early season, and will next take on a three-game road trip beginning with a visit to Lakeville North next Friday at 7 p.m. Marshall will return to the Red Baron Arena on Nov. 22 when it hosts South Central with a 1 p.m. puck drop.
