Reese Drake

Senior, Marshall

Reese Drake is a senior outside hitter for the Marshall volleyball team. Drake was selected to the All-State team as a junior and has helped lead Marshall to the No. 1 ranking in the latest Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association poll, as well as its eighth consecutive section championship match appearance. Drake has logged 351 kills, 257 digs and 46 service aces so far this season.

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?

A: I would say winning the state championship my sophomore year with my older sister Kennedy.

Q: If you were stranded on a desert island, what’s one thing you’d want to have with you?

A: Probably my older sister.

Q: What’s your favorite color?

A: Purple.

Q: Do you have a reason you wear No. 2?

A: I’ve always worn the number 2, I got it as a sophmore, so I’ve always had it and I like it. My older sister is also No. 2 over at Southwest [Minnesota State University volleyball].

Q: How long have you been playing volleyball?

A: I first started playing in like fourth grade.
