Brooke Gillingham is a senior on the Marshall volleyball team and is entering her third season as a starting setter. Gillingham had 1,128 set assists in her first season on the varsity team, ranking third in MSHSL single-season history. She had 516 set assists this year, committing just 18 setting errors on over 1,100 attempts, and has made an impact defensively with 131 digs.
Q: What’s your favorite TV show
that you’ve been watching?
A: I just started watching Suits. It’s pretty old, I think my dad [Wade] kind of laughed at me when I told him I was watching it, but it’s about lawyers so it’s actually pretty interesting.
Q: What’s your favorite activity
outside of volleyball?
A: I love to lift outside of volleyball, just a big lifter.
Q: What’s your favorite type of lift?
A: I like Olympic lifting, like power cleans, that type of style on the platform. I do it with my dad a lot in the offseason.
Q: Do you have a favorite
board game or video game?
A: I really like to play block blast on my phone, or like board games, I love Clue.
Q: What’s your favorite song?
A: It’s gotta be “Whole Team Winning”, which is our run-out song right now
