Marshall’s Reese Drake named MNVBCA All-Star Match MVP

LAKEVILLE — Coaches Association hosted its round-robin All-Star Series on Wednesday at Lakeville South High School, with four teams of 12 players coached by MNVBCA Hall of Famers. Marshall’s Reese Drake was named the event’s MVP after leading Team Leuer to three straight wins over Team Alstrom, Team Boelter and Team Hegerle.
Drake was joined on team Leuer by fellow Marshall High Schooler Avery Fahl and fellow Southwest Minnesota State University commit Natalie Wahl of Westbrook-Walnut Grove. Drake and Fahl will be leading the top-ranked Marshall volleyball team as seniors this season while Wahl will be starting her freshman year with SMSU.
Canby’s Emily Nelson and Russell-Tyler-Ruthton’s Avery Schreurs both competed for team Alstrom in the event, going 1-2, while Wabasso’s Audrey Johnson competed for team Boelter, going 0-3.
