MARSHALL –The Big South Conference announced its softball All-Conference team in a press release on Friday. Sara Dallman was the lone Marshall Tiger voted onto the team, with the sophomore infielder and pitcher earning an honorable mention for her first All-Conference selection.

Dallman hit for a team-leading .414 batting average and 1.021 OPS on the season. She also accounted for seven of Marshall’s 16 doubles and was one of two Tigers with a triple on the year. Her 10 RBIs were second only to Bailynn Parsons’ 12.

As a pitcher, Dallman threw 43 2/3 innings on the season for the Tigers, compiling a 7.54 ERA and 2.73 WHIP with 33 strikeouts and 38 walks.

Marshall finished the season 0-21 after fielding a notably young roster. They graduated just two seniors, giving the team plenty of time to grow and develop over the next few years.
