Liebl, Boike combine for 58 in Blackjacks’ win

Dawson-Boyd 95, Lakeview 42 

DAWSON — Gunner Liebl and Brayson Boike combined for 58 points to help the Dawson-Boyd boys basketball team cruise past Lakeview 95-42 Thursday night, and built up a 57-18 halftime lead. 

Liebl led with 32 points behind a team-high 5 for 8 shooting from the perimeter, and Boike followed with 26 points on 4 of 5 3-point shooting. 

Drew Hjelmeland and Jaxton Hastad each landed in double figures as well, finishing with 18 and 14 points respectively. 

The Blackjacks also collected 16 steals on the night. 

Lakeview’s Jackson Staab led with 10 points. 

Dawson-Boyd (14-3) will next look for its fifth straight win when it travels to Minneota today at 7:30 p.m. 

Lakeview (8-10) will next travel to Renville County West (13-5) on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. 

TMB 79, CMCS 58 

PRINSBURG — Trevor Smith’s 32 points led the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton boys basketball team past Central Minnesota Christian School 79-58 Thursday evening. Smith went 5 for 8 from the perimeter. 

Along with Smith, Alex Munson also tallied 18 points, while Ryker Davis tallied 10 rebounds. 

Noah Knakmuhs also finished with 9 points and a team-high six assists. 

The win marks three straight for TMB (15-4), who will next travel to Minneota (7-9) on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
