For the second consecutive year, Minneota was announced as a member of the Associated Press All-State team on Thursday with a second-team selection.
An All-State first team in his first season as Minneota's starting running back last year, Meagher had another productive year in 2024 to earn second-team honors. After running for 2,224 yards and 40 touchdowns on 9.7 yards per carry as a junior, he ran for 1,960 yards and 40 touchdowns on 9.9 yards per carry as a senior. He fumbled just three times over the course of the 428 carries (once as a junior, twice as a senior).
Even with outstanding production all year long, Meagher stepped it up when it mattered most. He had tied the prep bowl rushing touchdowns record as a junior and then broke it as a senior, finding the end zone six times as Minneota defeated Springfield 70-20 for its third consecutive state title.
Meagher also ran for 290 yards on 22 carries in the game, earning himself the Minneota career rushing title.
