MARSHALL — Gracelyn Foster, a senior cross country and track and field athlete for Marshall High School, signed her letter of intent on Monday morning to compete in both sports for Crown College next year.

Foster ran six seasons for Marshall cross country, dating back to seventh grade. She set a personal-best time of 21:20.1 in the 5,000-meter run her sophomore season and clocked a 6:05.51 1,600-meter run personal-best during her junior year track and field season. Her 28’1″ mark in the triple jump during her junior year was also the second-longest distance among Marshall girls in 2023.

Foster was a member of Marshall’s first ever state championship during her senior year. She put forth a 22:28.5 time at the Big South Conference meet in Marshall on Oct. 17 and served as an alternate for the regional and Class AA meets.
