Marshall Pee Wee wins Battle at the Baron tourney

Pee Wee A 

The Pee Wee A team won 4-0 in the Battle at the Baron Pee Wee Tournament to claim the title. The Tigers started with a 7-2 win over Dodge County on Friday before picking up two more wins over West Fargo (3-0) and Fremont 15-1 on Saturday. On Sunday, Marshall blanked Fergus Falls 5-0 to take first in their home tournament. Callahan Jans led the Tigers with eight goals and five assists while Grady Hess added five goals and five assists. Bennett Kimman came away with four goals and five assists for Marshall. Goalie Brayson Ritter finished with 43 saves on the weekend.

Pee Wee B 

Marshall Pee Wee B went 3-0 in pool play at the Battle at the Baron Pee Wee Tournament before claiming second place. The Tigers defeated Rochester Gold on Friday 6-2, scoring two more wins on Saturday, defeating Mound Westonka (9-0) and Eagan (6-1). Marshall faced Coon Rapids on Sunday, falling 7-1 in the championship game. Brekken Parrie led the Tigers with nine goals and four assists. Chase Renken added five goals and an assist while Hawkin Hartman pitched in two goals and three assists. Bentley Harrington made 65 saves in net during the tournament.

Pee Wee C 

The Pee Wee C team traveled to Saint Paul for the Cowtown Classic, earning third place on the weekend. The Tigers defeated Eastview 7-1 on Friday. Marshall split on Saturday, with an 8-2 win over St. Michael-Albertville before falling to Chisago Lakes, 4-5. In the third-place game, the Tigers defeated Chaska Chanhassen 6-4. Noland Munson led Marshall with 16 goals and three assists. Asher Reinhart pitched in two goals and six assists while Tracer Trollman finished with three goals and four assists. Jackson Valano had 17 saves while Alex Dunn finished with 40 on the weekend.

Bantam A 

Bantam A traveled to Detroit Lakes last weekend for the Derick Brehm Memorial Tournaments, going 0-3-1. On Friday night, The Tigers trailed late, pulling the goalie and scoring with 26 seconds on the clock to salvage a 3-3 tie. On Saturday, Marshall fell to Grafton 1-5 and Detroit Lake 7-0. On Sunday, the Fargo (N.D.) Freeze defeated the Tigers 5-0.

12U Girls 

Marshall 12U Girls went 3-1 to claim third place at the Knockdown at New Hope tournament this past weekend. On Friday, the Tigers defeated Shakopee 6-3 before falling to Minnetonka Blue 5-0 on Saturday. Marshall opened Sunday with a 2-1 win over North Wright County 2-1 before edging Cottage Grove 3-2 in a shootout for third place.

Squirt A 

The Squirt A team played two games at Hockey Day Sioux Falls (S.D.), going 1-1. The Tigers defeated Sioux Falls 2 3-0 before falling to Sioux Falls 1 13-4. Ashyr Kiley had three goals for Marshall while Paxton Jans had a goal and two assists. Brogan Thordson added a goal and an assist and Jett Thomsen and Taber Brouwer each netted a goal. Easton Gagnon had 44 saves in the two games.

Squirt B White 

Marshall Squirt B White was on the road Sunday, defeating Worthington 9-4. The Tigers were led by Brody Louwagie’s five goals. Chandler Stidman added three goals and an assist while Will Schroeder netted a goal and an assist. Archer Deutz made 18 saves in the win.

Squirt B Orange 

The Squirt B Orange traveled to Worthington on Sunday, falling to the Trojans 9-7. Drake Leibfried led the Tigers with two goals and an assist. Ryder Swanson and Jayden Snyder each netted two goals. Jayden Novosad finished with 16 saves.

10U Girls 

The 10U Girls went 3-0 in the Knockdown in New Hope over the weekend, claiming the title in a six-shot shootout. The Tigers started by blanking Armstrong Cooper 3-0 with an Aubri Reinhart seven-save performance. She would be in net for the three wins. Marshall moved on to defeat Mankato 8-5 before edging the Valkyries 3-2 in the shootout. Avery Zent led the Tigers with four goals and an assist. Addie Pieper had three goals and two assists while Brielle Hess added two goals and two assists.
