WABASSO -- Izzy Klumper started knocking down shots early in the Westbrook-Walnut Grove girls basketball team's win over Wabasso on Friday night and didn't let up as the night went on. She hit five shots from long range in the first half and finished the night with nine 3-balls and 35 points to pave the way for a 68-21 win for the Chargers.
Klumper knocked down her nine 3-pointers on just 11 attempts, setting a new school record for makes in a game.
Amelia Sikel also contributed to the WWG victory with 16 points and three second-half 3-pointers.
For Wabasso, Avery Carlson led the team with 7 points while Anistasia Smith added another 6.
Westbrook Walnut Grove improves to 3-1 with the win and will look to keep the ball rolling against MACCRAY on Saturday. Wabasso falls to 1-3 after beating Yellow Medicine East in its season opener. The Rabbits will look to end the skid against Murray County Central today.
