JACKSON — The Marshall volleyball came out of the gates swinging on Tuesday night with a 25-9 first-set win over Jackson County Central. They kept their momentum going from there, winning the next two sets 25-19, 25-14 to complete the sweep and secure the win.

“We were quick out of the gate. Our players really did a great job of getting themselves ready to go,” Marshall head coach Dan Westby said. “In set two, we just gave away too many points. We committed a variety of errors. For most of the set, our lead was 2 or 3 points. To our kids credit, they cleaned things up and pushed through.”
