The Marshall girls softball team had four players selected to the Big South All-Conference team, per a press release on Tuesday morning.

Marshall seniors Regan Loft and Lauren Wherry, as well as juniors Morgan Bjella and Halla Jo Casavan, all made the first team. The Tigers did not have any honorable mentions.

The Marshall Tigers finished the season third in the Big South Big Schools standings, finishing behind just Fairmont and New Ulm. The Tigers also finished ahead of Waseca and Worthington.

The Tigers compiled a 15-8 record on the season. They got particularly hot down the stretch, putting together a stretch of eight consecutive wins between May 6 and May 25. Yet, after defeating St. Peter 1-0 in the first round of the 2AAA Section tournament, Marshall lost 3-0 to Mankato East and, after a 7-4 win over Jordan in the elimination bracket, lost 2-1 against No. 3 New Prague to end its season.

Big South baseball All-Conference teams are still yet to be released.
