Rohlik ties for first in conference tournament

BUFFALO LAKE -- Chloe Rohlik shined for the Wabasso girls golf team in Tomahawk Conference Championship No. 1 Wednesday night, shooting a 97 on the day to tie for first place.

Rohlik tied Sleepy Eye United's Sam Price, who had the edge in the tiebreaker.

Shayna Huhnerkoch and Jasmine Kuehn also competed for the Rabbits in the girls tournament, placing 15th and 17th respectively in the 28-player field.

Huhnerkoch finished the day with 114 strokes while Kuehn finished the day with 119 strokes.

On the boys side, Michael Rothmeier and Christian Sanow scored a 112 and 117 on the day to place 37th and 38th respectively out of 42 golfers.

Neither the Wabasso boys nor girls team had enough golfers competing to score as a team.

Wabasso will next compete against Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart and GFW at Sanborn Golf Course on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
