Dylan, Derek Kluis help Rebels to 12-2 win
MOUNTAIN LAKE–The Murray County Central baseball team dominated Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey on the road in a 12-2 victory in five innings of play on Thursday evening.
Dylan Kluis had a two-hit day, driving in one run. Derek Kluis also had two hits and drove in a game-high three runs.
Christian Tentinger had a triple and drove in three runs as well.
Mountain Lake/Comfrey scored first, but the Rebels would score the next nine runs of the ballgame, putting the game out of reach.
Abe Paulzine pitched a complete game, giving up two runs on three hits and striking out 11 in the contest. Leadoff hitter Carter Benda had two hits and also stole two bases. Krew Schneider had two hits and scored three runs.
The MCC Rebels will be back in action on Monday evening as they travel to Adrian to play against the Adrian/Ellsworth Dragons at 4:30 p.m.
