The Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda/Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys golf team won its first of four 18-hole matches this season at Sanborn golf course. HLOF/WWG finished with a team score of 358, putting them five strokes ahead of second-place Adrian/Ellsworth.

Murray County Central finished sixth with a team score of 431 and Red Rock Central finished seventh with 468.

Sawyer Drent and Nathan Kueny led the way for HLOF/WWG, finishing first and second with a 76 and 80 respectively.

Brady Ross also finished in the top 10 for the coyotes with his 95 putting him in a tie for eighth.

Mason Ommen scored a 107 to round out the HLOF/WWG scorers.
