Lakeview wins in Camden Conference South tourney
Carson Boe shot the low score of the day to help the Lakeview boys golf team to a 12-stroke win at a Camden Conference South Tournament hosted by Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Friday afternoon.
Boe’s 35 put him five strokes ahead of the next closest golfer, RTR’s Chase Christianson.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton’s Alex Munson, Lakeview’s Owen Louwagie and Lane Arends, Canby’s Jack Abrahamson and Minneota’s Anthony Rybinski each shot a 41 on the day to force a five-way tie for third place.
RTR’s Isaac Norgaard tied Yellow Medicine East’s James Peterson with a 45 and YME’s Nick Moritz shot a 46 to round out the top 10.
As a team, Lakeview shot 173, putting them safely ahead of second-place RTR, who shot 185.
Canby shot a 187 as a team to take third while YME finished one stroke back with a 188.
Minneota finished fifth in the tournament with a team score of 193.
The five schools will all compete again on Monday at Minneota Countryside Golf Course at 4 p.m.
