Ticket prices announced for Tuesday’s NSIC Tournament home games; First 200 SMSU Students free

MARSHALL — Ticket prices have been set for the Southwest Minnesota State University women’s and men’s basketball games set for Tuesday afternoon in the first round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament inside the R/A Facility.

The games were originally scheduled for Wednesday evening, but have been moved up one day due to the impending snow storm.

The SMSU women’s basketball team (No. 3 South) will host Minnesota Crookston (No. 6 North) starting at 1 p.m., while the SMSU men’s basketball team (No. 4 South) will take on Minot State (No. 5 North) with game time set for 3 p.m.

The NSIC office has announced the ticket policy for Tuesday’s games. Prices are $13 for reserved chairbacks, $10 for adult general admission, $2 for students, while children five and under are free.

The first 200 SMSU students–with a valid SMSU ID–will be admitted FREE courtesy of HealthSource Chiropractic of Marshall.

All spectators will be required to purchase a ticket, including SMSU season tickets holders. The R/A Facility box office will open one-hour prior to the game. Season ticket holders can purchase their chairback seats at the box office on game day.

Following the first-round games, the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship games will take place Saturday-Tuesday, Feb. 25-28, at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.

If the SMSU women’s team wins on Tuesday they would play on Sunday versus St. Cloud State (No. 2 North) starting at 1:30 p.m. If the SMSU men’s team is victorious, they would face Northern State (No. 1 North) on Saturday with game time slated for 4:30 p.m.
