Tentinger scores 19 in 64-54 win

SLAYTON — Christian Tentinger and Aidan Dierks led the Murray County Central boys basketball team to a 64-54 win over Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda Thursday night.
Tentinger led the way with 19 points on 63% shooting while Dierks added on another 18 on 58% from the field.
Tentinger also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
Tanner Graphenteen stole the ball three times on the defensive end, tying him with Tentinger for a team-high.
The Murray County Central Rebels (13-5) will look to extend their win streak to seven games when they host Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey Thursday at 6 p.m.
B.O.L.D. 77, YME 46
OLIVIA — The Yellow Medicine East boys basketball team was unable to gain any offensive momentum in their road loss to B.O.L.D. Thursday night, falling 77-46.
Cody Dahlager and Bryce SNeller led the Sting in scoring with 10 points apiece, while Archie LaRose followed shortly behind with 9. Dahlager shot 5-6 from the field, while Sneller and LaRose shot 57% and 44% respectively.
While YME’s leading scorers were efficient, the rest of the team was not. Excluding Dahlager, LaRose, and Sneller, the sting shot 4-17 from the field.
Nobody could get anything going from long range, as YME shot 2-13 from behind the arc.
The Yellow Medicine East Sting (5-11) will attempt to put an end to their three-game skid when they go on the road to face Minneota tonight at 7:15 p.m.
Girls Basketball
MCC 58, HLOF 35
SLAYTON — The Murray County Central Rebels girls basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda 58-35 on Thursday evening.
After a ties first half between both teams, the Rebels would outscore HLOF 36-13 in the second half.
Jayda Hellewell led the Rebels with 12 points and had six rebounds. Casey Miller scored 11 points and had two steals on the night. Mary Lou McNab had 10 points and four rebounds. Seanna Swenson missed all nine of her shots but had a game-high 13 rebounds.
The MCC Rebels (5-13) will travel to Lamberton to face off against the Red Rock Central Falcons on Monday at 6 p.m.
MLA-C 52, RRC 31
MOUNTAIN LAKE — The Red Rock Central girls basketball team fell short against Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey, 31-52, on Thursday night, marking the Falcons fourth straight loss.
Sondra Rindfleisch led the Falcons in scoring and rebounding, finishing the game with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Reilly Hubin and Taylor Lang each knocked down a pair of 3-pointers in the second half to finish the game with 6 points apiece.
Emily DeCock went down with an injury in the first two minutes of the game. She was unable to return.
RRC trailed 33-12 at halftime.
Red Rock Central (4-16) will host Murray County Central for their next game Monday at 6 p.m.
TMB 63, YME 54
TRACY– The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers girls basketball team defeated the Yellow Medicine East Sting 63-54 on Thursday evening.
Jordan Munson led the Panthers in scoring with a game-high 19 points and had 12 rebounds.
Grace Dolan had 13 points and four steals in the contest. Kyli Carter finished with 11 points.
Hope Stark led the Sting in points with 13 and had four rebounds Bayli Sneller had 12 points in the loss. Hannah Stark had 8 points a game-high 12 rebounds and three steals.
Hannah Stark also scored her 1,000th career point as Yellow Medicine East Sting basketball player.
The TMB Panthers (11-7) will travel to Dawson to face off against the Blackjacks tonight at 7:30. The YME Sting (7-10) will host the Ortonville Trojans at 6 p.m.
CMCS 60, DB 43
DAWSON — Despite a high-scoring effort from Kate Dahl, the Dawson-Boyd girls basketball team struggled offensively, leading to a 60-43 home loss to Central Minnesota Christian Thursday night.
Dahl scored 19 points on 41% from the field and 3-10 shooting from long range. She also grabbed four rebounds and three steals on the night.
Hayley Anderson led the Blackjacks on the boards with nine rebounds, including five on the offensive glass.
No player on DB had multiple assists, but they did value their possessions. As a team, the Blackjacks had six turnovers.
Allison Estling tied Dahl for a team-high in steals, with three.
Dawson-Boyd (6-11) will enter the second leg of their five-game homestand tonight when they host Tracy-Milroy-Balaton at 7:30 p.m.
Canby 50, Lakeview 38
CANBY– The Canby Lancers defeated the Lakeview Lakers 50-38 on Thursday evening.
Braelyn Merritt led the Lancers in scoring with 15 points. Kortney Leppke had a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 15 rebounds in the victory.
Brynn Strensrud led the Lakers in scoring with 11 points. Strensrud also had three steals in the contest. Shelby Justesen had 8 points and four rebounds.
The Lakers have lost each of their last 11 games.
The Canby Lancers (7-12) will be back in action on Monday as they travel to Minneota to face off against the Vikings. The Lakeview Lakers (3-16) will try to turn their luck around when they host the Yellow Medicine East Sting on Monday.
Both games start at 7:15 p.m.
