FARGO– The Wabasso Rabbits 9U wrestling team took home second place this past weekend at the Rumble on the Red tournament. The tournament consisted of 20 teams from Minnesota, Iowa, and North and South Dakota. The Rabbits were all Wabasso students but one was from St Charles, MN.

Over the weekend the Rabbits went (4-1) winning the silver bracket and ultimately losing to the eventual champions of the tournament, the Funky Singlets. The Rabbits defeated the Bison Wrestling Club out of North Dakota 40-19, the Dakota Boyz Yellow out of South Dakota 44-21, the MN River Rats 45-21, and No Nonsense out of Minnesota 48-12. The Rabbits lone loss came to the Singlets 40-22. It was the most points scored against the Singlets in the tournament.

The members of the 9U Rabbits team are Landen Cooreman, Khyler Beermann, Drake Cooreman, Madden Peters, Kouper Beermann, Hayden Altermatt, Weston Taylor, Masen Skoblik, Brock Irlbeck, Bryce Altermatt, Keegan Wagner, Greysen Marotzke Jziah Teed and head coach Cole Cooreman.
