SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Jamestown (N.D.) claimed their first NAIA Women’s volleyball title Tuesday night. Included on the roster were former Marshall Tigers Logan Sherman and Jon Hegerle.

Sherman, a rightside hitter, is in her junior year at Jamestown. During her time at Marshall, she was a member of three sectional championship teams and a Tigers team that finished as the Class AA runner-up in 2018.

Sherman has accumulated 240 kills this year on a .220 kill percentage. She also contributed 66 digs.

Hegerle served as a Marshall assistant volleyball coach from 2003 until 2008 under Dan Westby and Terry Culhane.

Through his 13th season with the Jimmies, Hegerle has won over 300 games with the program and three NAIA Final Four appearances.

All of his final four appearances have come since 2019.
