Loren Hacker was selected as a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame--Minnesota Chapter's Class of 2023 Monday night.

Hacker had a 32-year career as a head wrestling coach, spending time at Canby and Dawson-Boyd, as well as McIntosh, S.D. He was inducted on the basis of his lifetime service to wrestling.

During his time with the Lancers, Hacker won a region title and placed sixth in the 1982 state tournament.

During his career as an athlete, Hacker was a standout heavyweight for Canby and for the University of Minnesota--Morris, where he was named an NCAA Division III All-American.
