Dahnert, Foutz named Academic All-District
GREENWOOD, Ind. — Southwest Minnesota State University sophomore Emma Dahnert and senior Madi Foutz have been named to the 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-District® soccer team released on Tuesday. The selection and announcement were made by the College Sport Communicators, formally CoSIDA, and recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Each of them are first-time recipients.
Dahnert, a business administration major from Owatonna, Minn., with a 3., played in 10 games, starting seven. She played 646 minutes, recorded a pair of assists, was part of a defensive unit that created four shutouts. Dahnert maintains a 3.78 GPA.
Foutz, an environmental science major from Brighton, Colo., played in all 18 games, starting 14 of them. She scored her first career goal against St. Cloud State on Sept. 23. She added an assist, took seven shots and put three shots on goal in 1,144 minutes. Foutz maintains a 3.53 GPA, and was an academic all-region honoree at Northeast Community College.
Dahnert and Foutz are the first honorees since 2014 and are the ninth and tenth individual honorees in program history.
