REDWOOD FALLS– The Marshall Tigers volleyball team won its 22nd game of the season beating the Redwood Valley Cardinals in straight sets 25-14, 25-16 and 25-14 on Tuesday evening.

 Brielle Riess and Leah Jones each led the team in kills with 12. Jones also had 10 digs in the contest. Teammate Caitlyn Christianson led the team in digs with 18 on the night.  Lauren Wherry led the team in assists with 38.

 “We were sluggish early on but you need to give Redwood Valley credit,” Westby said. “They kept a lot of balls alive and made things tough for us.”

The Marshall Tigers (22-1) will next play in a two day tournament at Lakeville North high school starting on Friday.

LAMBERTON– The Red Rock Central Falcons volleyball team lost in straight sets to the Adrian Dragons 17-25, 19-25 and 13-25 on Tuesday evening.

Senior Sondra Rindfleisch led the team in kills with seven and freshmen Abby Evans and Ally Linder both had five kills in the contest. Maia Scheffler led her team in digs with 19 and teammate Emily Decock had 11 digs with 19 assists in the match.

RRC will close out their regular season with two home matches next week before they get ready for section play. They will host next Monday evening HLOF and next Tuesday Worthington.
