MARSHALL — The Southwest Minnesota State University baseball team (10-24, 3-19 NSIC) continues its 10-game homestand this afternoon with a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader versus the University of Mary (19-20, 11-13 NSIC) at Legion Field in Marshall. The twinbill begins at 1:30 p.m. with a 7-inning game followed by a 9-inning game
•Following today’s two games, SMSU will host Bemidji State University for a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday.

•SMSU and UMary have met 34 times since the first meeting in 2007 with SMSU holding a 23-11 all-time advantage, including 8-3 in Marshall.
•UMary won two of three games last season in Marshall on May 1-2.
•SMSU’s win in the third game of last season’s three-game set snapped a four-game winning streak in the series for UMary.

•SMSU won two of three games from Minnesota Crookston last weekend in Marshall. The Mustangs’ won the series on Sunday as Isaac Nett belted a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the ninth for the 10-9 win.
•SMSU is averaging 4.7 runs per game, batting .280 with 52 doubles, eight triples and 18 home runs.
•The SMSU pitching staff has an 8.64 ERA in 257 1/3 innings with 231 strikeouts.
•Sophomore Jaxon Haase is batting .330 with six doubles, two home runs and ranks tied for second on the team with 20 RBIs. He reached base in a team-leading 16 straight games earlier this season.
•Junior Keenan Wenzel is tied for the team-lead with six doubles and ranks fourth in batting at .315.
•Sophomore Isaac Nett is hitting a team-high .360 with six doubles, five home runs and is the team leader with 24 RBIs. Earlier this season he had an 11-game hitting streak and ranks second on the team with 10 multi-hit games.
•Sophomore Chase McDaniel is batting a .325 with five doubles, one triple and six stolen bases. He has 10 multi-hit games.
•Freshman Owen Latendresse is tied for the team lead with five home runs and is tied for second with 20 RBIs.
•Sophomore left-hander Kobe Lovell is 1-1 in 10 relief appearances with a 6.00 ERA in 18 innings with 15 strikeouts.
•Sophomore right-hander Craig Lasley has a 3.46 ERA in eight appearances with eight strikeouts.
•Freshman righty Brady Petron has pitched 10 2/3 innings in seven games with 12 strikeouts and a 1.69 ERA.
•Senior right-hander Andy Andresen has appeared in 10 games and tossed 9 2/3 innings with one save.
•Freshman lefty Ryan Chmielewski is tied for the team-lead with nine starts and has three victories in a team-high 48 2/3 innings with 37 strikeouts. He tossed a seven-inning complete game four-hitter versus Minnesota Crookston (April 23) allowing zero earned runs while striking out a career-high 11.
•Sophomore righty Kolby Kiser has made nine starts and leads the team with 40 strikeouts in 36 innings.
•Sophomore right-hander Ansen Dulas has pitched six innings in each of his last two starts.

•UMary is 19-20 overall, 11-13 NSIC, and enters play on Wednesday seventh in the NSIC standings. The Marauders have won 9 of their last 11 since April 10. UMary lost two of three to Minot State last weekend in Sioux Falls, S.D.
