MARSHALL — The Southwest Swim Club competed in three invites in January. The 2022 SD ASC Winter High Point swim meet was held in Aberdeen, S.D. on Jan. 8-9. SSC had one athlete competing in eight individual events. Of those events, SSC has eight personal bests and two SD State Qualifying times.

The 2022 SD WASC Optimist High Point swim meet was held in Watertown S.D. on Jan. 15-16. SSC had eight athletes competing in 35 individual events. Of those, SSC had 26 personal bests, nine SD State Qualifying times, and two highpoint champions. Swimmers who earned highpoint awards were Raelynn Grabau (6 & Under Girls 3rd Place Highpoint) and Hailey Brandt (17 & 18 Girls 4th Place Highpoint).

The 2022 SD SFST January Invite was held in Sioux Falls SD on Friday-Sunday. The invite featured over 500 athletes from 17 swim clubs across Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota. SSC had seven athletes competing in 38 individual events. Of those, SSC had 24 personal bests, nine SD State Qualifying times, and three Top 10 finishes.

SD State Qualifiers are Kipton Kesteloot, Finley Pelz, Drew Dunn, Hailey Larsen, Aaliyah Podratz, Grace Rokeh, and Hailey Brandt.
