PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Marshall wrestling takes ninth, Minneota sixth at Hutchinson Invite

HUTCHINSON -- A couple of area teams competed in the Hutchinson Invite on Saturday, with Minneota placing sixth as a team with a score of 114 while Marshall took ninth with a score of 67.5. Becker took first with a team score of 224.5, followed by Watertown/Mayer Lutheran in second (211.5) and Willmar in third (191).
For Marshall, Dylan Louwagie took first by tech fall, Landon Marthaler, Tate Condezo and Tucker Fiene took fifth by fall and decision, respectively and Drew Chandler took sixth by fall.
For Minneota, Jonah Gruenes took first by decision, Peyton Gillund and Kade Lozinski took second by major decision and tech fall, respectively, Hudson Scholten took fourth by decision, Troy VanKeulen took fifth by fall and Adam Devlaeminck, Zack Fier and Alex Depestel took sixth by fall, decision and major decision, respectively.
Marshall will compete next on Friday at Morris at 5 p.m. while Minneota will compete next on Tuesday at Willmar at 5 p.m.
LCWM Invite
LAKE CRYSTAL -- The Wabasso wrestling team competed in the Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Invite on Saturday, placing ninth with a team score of 37. Kenyon-Wanamingo took first with a score of 156.5, followed by New Richland-H-E-G in second (140.5) and Westfield in third (123).
Kaysen Harms took first by decision while William Flowers took fifth by fall for Wabasso.
Wabasso will compete next on Tuesday at home against Pipestone Area at 6 p.m.

TRACY -- The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton boys basketball team defeated Red Rock Central 73-45 on Saturday.
Tony Nelson led TMB with 18 points, including recording his 1,000th career point, while Christian Wendland added 11 and Trevor Smith had 10. Wendland and Nick Schmitt led in rebounds with six each while Wendland and Matt Munson led in assists with six each.
Ashton Juhnke led RRC with 12 points while Corey Arkell added nine and Joe Strock had eight. Isaac Simonson led in rebounds with three while Ashton Holmen led in assists with three.
TMB (10-4) will face RCW on the road on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. while RRC (2-10) will face MCC on the road today at 7:15 p.m.
