PREP CROSS COUNTRY: Tomahawk Conference announces All-Academic teams
MARSHALL — The Tomahawk Conference recently announced its All-Academic team for cross country and a few area athletes made the list.
On the girls side, Allison Parker, Mikayla Bliss, Shayna Huhnerkoch, Annabelle Struntz and Addison Jensen made it for Wabasso. Joining them are Alexis Rettig and Isabelle Vos (Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop), Priscilla Bauer, Mary Niebuhr and Laura Rossow (Minnesota Valley Lutheran), Clare Fischer, Ellen Windschitl, Annika Nosbush and Elle Kyllonen (Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral) and Lilly McCone and Violet Hovland (Springfield/Cedar Mountain).
On the boys side, Aidan Kampsen made it for Wabasso. Joining him is Isaiah Carlovsky, Jacob Guenther, Josiah Guenther, Benjamin Halvorson, Samuel Halvorson and Donovan Witte (MVL) and Zackary Hensch and Ben Potter (Springfield/Cedar Mountain).
Requirements for the All-Academic team are being a sophomore, junior or senior, a member of the Varsity team and have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or higher.
