LAKEFIELD — The Milroy Irish amateur baseball team defeated Lakefield 13-5 on Friday in the Region 13C tournament.

Ben Heichel led the Irish with three hits, including a three-run home run. Beau Priegnitz earned the victory in relief, going 3 2/3 innings. Kenny Morris earned the start, going 4 1/3 innings.

The Irish (26-6) won the best-of-three series 2-0 and advanced to the Final 4 round. They will face Windom in a best-of-three series starting Wednesday on the road at 7:30 p.m., with the winner advancing to the state tournament.
