ALEXANDRIA — The Marshall Junior Legion baseball team earned another tie on Friday, this time in a 5-5 contest with Alexandria Black to start the Alexandria tournament.

Ezra Maurice led Marshall with a hit and two RBI while Talan Plante and Parker Schmitt each had a hit and an RBI and Zach Leibfried, Tyler Maeyaert and Lincoln Graven each had a hit.

Maeyaert earned the start, going seven innings while allowing five runs on six hits and struck out seven.

Marshall Black (16-3-2) will face Elk River at 9 a.m. and Aitkin at 11 a.m. today in Alexandria.
