MARSHALL — The Southwest Swim Club competed in the 2021 SD Long Course State “B” Championships held in Huron, SD on July 17-18. This championship meet was for swimmers who did not have a South Dakota State Qualifying time in an event. The meet featured over 250 athletes from 16 swim clubs in the South Dakota LSC. SSC had three athletes competing in 18 individual events. Of those events, SSC had 8 personal bests and 4 top 8 finishes.

The 2021 SD Long Course State Championships were held in Brookings, SD on July 23-25. In order to compete in this meet, swimmers must have qualified for an event by swimming a South Dakota Qualifying time in the past year. The meet featured over 400 athletes from the South Dakota LSC. SSC had four athletes competing in 18 individual events. Of those events, SSC had 13 personal bests and eight top 8 finishes. SSC placed 16th out of 20 swim clubs.
