SMSU BASEBALL: SMSU series at SCSU canceled; Mustangs season comes to an end
MARSHALL — Officials from Southwest Minnesota State University and St. Cloud State University announced Thursday the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference baseball three-game series scheduled between the schools for today and Saturday in St. Cloud has been canceled due to COVID-19 testing protocols.
Per NSIC rules, the games will not be made up.
With the canceled games, SMSU concludes it season with a 12-22 overall record, including 10-21 in the NSIC. The Mustangs played numerous close games all season long, losing a combined 11 games either by one run or in extra-innings and also lost three games by two runs.
