TRACY — In 2019, the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton boys and girls golf team had an up-and-down season, but after not being able to compete last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Panthers will look to bounce back under coach Roger Benson.

TMB will have five players returning this season, led by Alex Munson and Owen Elsen on the boys side. Benson said their numbers have decreased over the past couple of years, but expects his individuals to continue to improve, particularly in the short game.

“Our numbers are way down, so we don’t have any strengths right now,” Benson said. “We expect to continue our individual improvement throughout the season, especially in the short game.”

Benson said they’ve been working on mostly everything during the first couple weeks of practice and is looking forward to watching his players improve each day.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the students improve and seeing them recognize their improvement through focused practices,” Benson said.
