SMSU women’s basketball adds two games this weekend at Northern State

MARSHALL — Officials from Southwest Minnesota State University and Northern State University announced on Tuesday that the SMSU and NSU women’s basketball teams will play two games this Friday and Saturday at Wachs Arena in Aberdeen, S.D.

On Tuesday, Northern State had its two-game home scheduled series on Friday and Saturday versus Bemidji State canceled due to COVID-19 testing protocols at BSU. On Monday, SMSU’s two games scheduled to be played this Friday and Saturday at Winona State was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols at WSU.

SMSU and NSU will play on Friday starting at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s game is set to begin at 4 p.m. Both games will be considered non-conference games.

NSU announced attendance rules and regulations can be found below and are listed at nsuwolves.com/covid/fans. Note that only 200 general admission tickets will be available at the door on a first come first serve basis for each game.

SMSU is 2-0 on the season following home victories last weekend over Minot State. NSU is 1-1 on the season after splitting two games at home versus Wayne State.
