SMSU swimming adds two meets this week at SCSU and MSU Mankato
MARSHALL — The Southwest Minnesota State University women’s swimming team returns to competition this week with a pair dual meets versus conference rivals.
Following a postponement and a cancellation during the past two weeks, SMSU head coach Marty Wahle has re-worked the schedule and found two familiar foes.
SMSU will compete today in St. Cloud, starting at 6 p.m. versus St. Cloud State, while on Saturday, SMSU will face Minnesota State with a 1 p.m. start in Mankato.
SMSU is 0-2 on the season and last competed on Jan. 9 suffering a 143-78 loss at MSU Moorhead. SMSU lost earlier this season to Minnesota State by a score of 143-78.
SCSU is 0-3 in duals this season, losing twice to Minnesota State and once to Division I South Dakota, while MSU is 4-0 on the season.
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships are scheduled for Feb. 10-13 in West Fargo, N.D.
