WORTHINGTON — The Marshall football team defeated Worthington 22-6 on Friday.

DeMario Gaines ran for 80 yards and a touchdown while Tyler Maeyaert threw for 45 yards and another score. Bryce Lance recorded 39 yards receiving and a touchdown while adding an interception on defense.

Grant Louwagie and Bryant Paulsen also recorded 7.5 total tackles for Marshall while Louwagie added a defensive touchdown.

MACCRAY 12

CLARA CITY — The Yellow Medicine East football team defeated MACCRAY 34-12 on Friday.

Cody Dahlager rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns while adding 68 yards passing. Nolan Hildahl ran for 83 yards and two scores while Hunter Wilke had 60 yards receiving, including a 42-yard touchdown catch from Tyler Syring.

YME (1-4) will face RTR next Thursday at 7 p.m.

Minneota 37,

RTR 6

MINNEOTA — The Minneota football team defeated Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 37-6 on Friday.

Jacob Hennen threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns and added 23 yards on the ground and another score. Jonah Gruenes ran for 33 yards while AJ Josephson added 25 yards and a touchdown. Joey Rybinski recorded 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, AJ Myhre had four total tackles while Rybinski added 3.5 total tackles.

No RTR stats were available at press time.

Minneota (5-0) will face Dawson-Boyd next Thursday at 5 p.m. while RTR (1-4) will face YME next Thursday at 7 p.m.

Lakeview 24, Canby 12

CANBY — The Lakeview football team defeated Canby 24-12 on Friday.

Clayton Kosel ran for 207 yards and a touchdown for Lakeview while Brock Kvistad added 39 yards and another score. Owen Louwagie added a four-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Fenske.

Defensively, Justin Timm and Colby Marczak each recorded 5.5 total tackles.

Ty Stoks ran for 102 yards for Canby while Cameron Anderson added 52 yards on the ground. Parker Viessman threw for 152 yards and a touchdown while Tyler Sayre had 54 yards receiving and Will Varcoe added 24 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, Brodryck Gravdal recorded 12 total tackles and forced a fumble while Dylan Bruns added nine total tackles.

Lakeview (3-2) will face MACCRAY next Thursday at 7 p.m. while Canby (2-3) will face LQPV next Thursday at 7 p.m.

Edgerton 22, RRC 8

LAMBERTON — The Red Rock Central football team fell to Edgerton 22-8 on Friday.

Luke Willhite threw for 101 yards while adding 51 rushing yards and an interception on defense. Damon Holmen added a 26-yard touchdown run while Mason Irlbeck had 37 receiving yards and Dominik Smith added 32 yards.

RRC (1-2) will face HLO/Fulda on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

DB 28, LQPV 25

DAWSON — The Dawson-Boyd football team defeated Lac qui Parle Valley 28-25 on Friday.

Micah Olson ran for 243 yards and three touchdowns while adding 86 yards passing and another score. Jordan Hastad added 35 yards on the ground and had a 32-yard touchdown reception.

Defensively, Hastad recorded 6.5 total tackles while Gauge Liebl added 5.5 total tackles.

DB (5-0) will face Minneota next Thursday at 5 p.m.

WORTHINGTON — The Marshall volleyball team defeated Worthington 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-21) on Friday.

Leah Jones recorded 10 kills for Marshall while Tessa Gannott added nine and Taylor Ariasola had five. Caitlyn Christenson recorded 19 digs while Megan Wegner and Emily Meier each added nine and Maysa Gillingham recorded 24 set assists.

Marshall (6-0) will face Redwood Valley on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
