PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: DB slips past Lakeview in OT

DAWSON — The Dawson-Boyd football team defeated Lakeview 14-6 in overtime on Friday.

Micah Olson led the way for DB with 210 yards on the ground and two touchdowns while adding 17 yards passing. Jordan Hastad added 28 yards on the ground while Caleb Torke led in receiving with 12 yards on two catches.

Defensively, Hastad led DB with five total tackles while Aiden Swenson added four total tackles.

Owen Louwagie led the way for Lakeview with 67 passing yards and a touchdown while Brock Kvistad had the scoring reception. No other Lakeview stats were available at press time.

DB (3-0) will face RTR next Friday at 7 p.m. while Lakeview (2-1) will face Minneota next Friday at 7 p.m.

Minneota 37, YME 6

MINNEOTA — The Minneota football team defeated Yellow Medicine East 37-6 on Friday.

Jacob Hennen completed eight of his 13 pass attempts for 159 yards and three touchdowns while AJ Josephson led in rushing with 77 yards and a touchdown and Conner Sik added 70 yards on the ground and a score. Cale Sorensen led in receiving with 78 yards on three catches and a touchdown while AJ Myhre and Josephson each added touchdown catches.

Defensively, Beau Banish and Jayden Gamrak led Minneota with 5.5 total tackles each.

YME stats were not available at press time.

Minneota (3-0) will face Lakeview next Friday at 7 p.m. while YME (0-3) will face Canby next Friday at 7 p.m.

CMCS 0

PRINSBURG — The Minneota volleyball team defeated CMCS 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-15) on Friday.

Abby Hennen led the way for Minneota with 17 kills while Natalee Rolbiecki added 14 and Abby Frie had seven. Hennen also led in digs with nine while McKenna Yost added seven. Ireland Stassen led in set assists with 22 while Yost added 18.

Minneota (4-0) will face KMS on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.

MLA/Comfrey 0

MOUNTAIN LAKE — The Red Rock Central volleyball team defeated Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey 3-0 (25-6, 25-19, 25-22) on Thursday.

Karli Arkell led the way for RRC with 15 kills while Nicole Schroepfer added nine and Kierra Highby had eight. Hailey Amsden led in digs with 13 while Bianca Weis and Schroepfer each added 11. Nora Hemmingsen led in set assists with 15 while Schroepfer had 12.

RRC (4-0) will face Edgerton today at 3:45 p.m.
