Marshall 17U drops pair of games

PIPESTONE — The Marshall Black 17U baseball team dropped a pair of games to Pipestone on Monday, falling 2-0 in six innings in game one and 7-4 in game two.

In the opener, Zach Allen collected the only hit for Marshall. Mitchell Bouwman took the loss on the mound, going five innings while allowing two runs on five hits and struck out six.

In game two, Allen led the way for Marshall with a 3 for 3 day at the plate with two RBI while Bouwman, Kadam Brinkman and Connor Neubeck all had two hits apiece. Brock Schultz took the loss on the mound, going 2 2/3 innings while allowing six runs on five hits and struck out five.
