MARSHALL — With the announcement from Governor Tim Walz about schools in Minnesota staying with distance learning for the remainder of the year, the Minnesota State High School League also announced Thursday the cancellation of the remainder of 2019-20 activities.

In accordance with Executive Order 20-41 and according to MSHSL Board of Directors, all spring athletics and fine arts have been canceled for the remainder of the season, including practices, tryouts, scrimmages, games and other competitions as well as all postseason tournaments.

The MSHSL Board of Directors will also review the related rules, policies and bylaws that impact participation from the cancellation in a meeting being held today.
