PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: Tomahawk announces its All-Conference team

MARSHALL — The Tomahawk Conference recently announced its all-conference team for boys basketball, and an area player made the list.

Leading the way for Wabasso was Will Carlson. Joining him is Mitchell Buerkle and Decker Scheffler (Springfield), Chris Knowles and Jon Zinniel (New Ulm Cathedral), Mason Cox, Jace Marotz and Dunwa Omot (Minnesota Valley Lutheran), Carson Domeier (Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s), Damian Hopp (Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop) and Kegan Heiderscheidt (Sleepy Eye).

On the Honorable Mention team was James Gillis and Sam Knowles (New Ulm Cathedral), Kyreis Harrison (MVL), Nick Labat and Trent Steffensmeier (Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s), Trey Peterson-Juhl (Cedar Mountain) and Johnnie Ambrose (GFW).

Omot was named Player of the Year while New Ulm Cathedral’s Alan Woitas was named Coach of the Year.
