MARSHALL — The Section 3A girls basketball playoff brackets were released on Friday, with multiple area teams receiving their seedings for the postseason.

The top-ranked team and defending Class A champion Minneota received the No. 1 seed in the North bracket. The Vikings will face the winner of the No. 8 MACCRAY/No. 9 Dawson-Boyd game on Feb. 22 in Montevideo. The Wolverines and Blackjacks will play on Feb. 20 in Clara City.

Canby earned the No. 5 seed in the North and will face No. 4 seed Yellow Medicine East on Feb. 22 in Montevideo. Wabasso earned the No. 6 seed and will face No. 3 Lac qui Parle Valley on Feb. 22 in Montevideo. Lakeview earned the No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 Russell-Tyler-Ruthton on Feb. 22 in Montevideo.

In the South bracket, Edgerton earned the No. 8 seed and will face No. 1 Hills-Beaver Creek on Feb. 22 in Worthington. Murray County Central earned the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 seed Red Rock Central on Feb. 22 in Worthington. Southwest Minnesota Christian earned the No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Feb. 22 in Worthington. Finally, Adrian/Ellsworth earned the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda on Feb. 22 in Worthington.
