MARSHALL – The 17th annual Mustang Gold Rush Raffle, sponsored by the Mustang Booster Club, is set for this Friday, Jan. 31, inside the R/A Facility on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University.

New this year, individuals can bid on silent auction items prior to the event. Anyone, even those not attending the Gold Rush Raffle, can bid for items online at SMSUmustangs.com/

GoldRushAuction. The online auction closes on Friday, Jan. 31, at 10 p.m. The online site will be updated daily with new auction items prior to Friday’s event.

Users who created an account on the GiveSmart platform for the SMSU University Gala event this past October, do not need to create a new account for the Gold Rush Raffle.

The Mustang Gold Rush Raffle is a unique and fun event to help support a great cause. A total of $6,200 will be awarded throughout the evening, along with other great prizes, all while supporting SMSU student-athletes! All proceeds from this event, which includes a silent and live auction, go towards student-athlete scholarships at SMSU.

The grand prize is $2,500 and is awarded to the last remaining ticket holder. The second remaining ticket holder wins $1,000, while the third, fourth and fifth remaining ticket holders will each win $500.

The first ticket drawn at raffle, along with the 100th, 200th, 300th, 400th, 500th and 600th ticket drawn will each win $100, while the 350th ticket drawn wins $500. Other great prizes will also be given away for every 20th ticket drawn throughout the night.
